Over the years Walter has been involved with many entertainment establishments, nightclubs, and bars in the local area. You may remember some of the businesses:
Funland! Circa 1979. This was Walter's first job repairing pinball, and Video games. Games located at Funland included the very first Pac Man in Brevard County! They also had Space Invaders, Tail Gunner, Clowns, Battle Zone, and Asteroids. You would have to put your stack of quarters in que with the other stacks of quarters, and you would have to wait your turn to play. It was not uncommon to see everyone with a stack of ten dollars each. In those days in was mind blowing to see ten guys waiting their turn and seeing $100.00 in quarters lined up in rows on top of the machine! For reference minimum wage was $2.95. C&T Arcade, Mission Control, Brady's Family Game Center. These businesses were owned by Walter's Father, and Pat Brady. C&T was purchased from Mr. Clevenger and Ben Tounge around 1981. Walter was brought in as the Pinball, and Video Game Technition. These were exciting times for Walter! There is nothing like fixing the latest in high tech video games, and pinball machines. You have to remember this was back when the latest in 8080A chip sets were installed on video game boards for the first time! Pinballs were really amazing in these days. Black Knight, and Gor Gar are the two that stand out the most from those days. These were put out by Williams brothers who are the ones responsible for Defender, StarGate, Robotron, Joust, and many others! Walter's appreciation goes out to Joe Cagnina of Aurora Rd Billiards. He hired Walter to do maintenence work on the pinball, and video games, which eventually created more repair jobs from other companies. Joe alway wanted to be the first with the latest, and the greatest in games. Joe searched high, and low to bring in only the finest in games! Joe had a very large crowd who played the game called Robotron. This group was nicknamed the "RoboHeads"! Some of the other companies where Walter did repair work included The Fun Machine, Battle Stations, HyperSpace, and all of the Stuckeys on I-95 in Brevard County. This club was the first to play Hip Hop music in the Melbourne area. This club was owned by Mark Benson. Other clubs that Mark Benson hired Walter to do work include Young Country Teen Dance Club, and Party Central! Walter has worked at Ozio's in downtown Melbourne FL, Club LimeLight, Topaz Nightclub, Dragon Lady's, and the Purple Rain Cafe, The Inner Room, and Cheaters, Lido's cabaret, and the Storm Club. Walter's appreciation goes to Tropical Video Systems (circa 2003) where he had the opportunity to work on a highend theater installation on Lansing Island, and various other locations. Walter's appreciation goes to Bob at Coast Commuications (circa 2004) where he learned the art of security installations, and Structured Wiring. Walter is really greatful for the opportunity to work for the Spy Source Warehouse owned by Jimmy Soderland. Walter is subcontracted to install covert, and hidden video surveillance systems. Having the opportunity to work with TSCM equipment has really been a great interest of Walter's. There are devices that can FIND hidden cameras in dressing rooms, restrooms, and tanning salons in 5 seconds flat!
