This is a great digital audio recorder! This has a built in mic, and speaker. You can record on a desk top, or hold it in your hand, or from a shirt pocket, or you can plug it in to a telephone jack to record both sides of a telephone call.
This comes with a package useful items such as external microphone, headphones, USB cable, and a cellphone cable.
The cellphone cable plugs in to your cellphone (common style round jack), and the recorder. The ear piece lets you listen to your cellphone, and the mic lets your caller hear you, and the recorder records both sides of your cellphone conversation.

The USB cable allows you to download your audio files in to your computer for archive, or to burn to a disk.
The USB cable can be connected to a wall transformer to power the recorder when you do not want to use batteries.
This device will record 16 hours of audio, and that is dependant on the style of batteries that you use. Lithium batteries will last much longer then alkaline. Alkalines will last longer than regular batteries.
