Video Viewer
"The program can't start because AVC_AP_JPEG.dll is missing from your computer".
I was trying to watch video that was recorded on a remote compter using Video Viewer. I pressed the film strip icon and recorded video to tempvideo file. I could not watch the video and the following error code popped up. "The program can't start because AVC_AP_JPEG.dll is missing from your computer". Try reinstalling to fix this problem." I use Windows 7 and I use IE8.
I loaded an older player and this resolved my problem. I do not know if this will work in your case or not.
I did a copy and paste of AVC_AP_JPEG.dll and AVC_AP_SCALE.dll in to the Video Viewer Player that I was having problems with and now it works fine.
Another person with the same problem said that they removed Avast and they were able to use Video Player. Strange I say, but if it worked for him maybe that might work for you? I cannot see how an antivirus would block the software from running.
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application.
Right click the icon and click on run as administrator.

DVR beeps real loud!
Yes the DVR will beep real loud at power up. This is an alert for a security guard that there has been a power failure. This indicates that you need to look at the date time group to verify that the DVR is working correctly.
Also as a business owner you may have an employee who unplugged the DVR, commited a crime, and then replugged the DVR back in. The noise will keep people from unplugging the DVR to avoid getting caught by the loud beep.
If you have it set for motion detection you can go in to the alert menu, and turn off the motion alert.
For covert installations it is recommended that you yank out the piezo device for silent operation. This is to be performed by a trained electronic service person.
