REMOTE SOFTWARE FOR AVC 760A 760AS / NUBIX 4ST MODELS ONLY!
ENGLISH 0.0.8.5
This viewer can be used on some older DVRs This can connect up to 16 4 channel DVRs!
I have tested the AVC 760A, AVC 761, AVC 781, AVC 782, Nubix 4ST.
What was interesting is I could put the same IP address in several times, and I could view the same DVR in several screens.
When connecting to the AVC 760 via the internet note that you will not be able to control the Server Settings unless the DVR is in Supervisor mode only!

The cameras must be connected and power-supplied BEFORE the DVR is turned on. The DVR will automatically detect the video system of the connected camera(s) (NTSC / PAL), and switch itself to the correct system.
NOTE: You can’t select a single channel for video playback. During the playback mode, you can only see the quad view.
8.3 QuickTime Player
You can also use the QuickTime player to remotely log into the DVR and check the live view only.
Step 1: Go to Apple’s official website to download QuickTime. The website address is as follows:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/win.html
a). Click “Download” to go into the download page, and select to download the free player.
b). Leave your Email address, and press “Free Download Now” to download the latest QuickTime player.
c). When the download is completed, execute the “QuickTimeInstaller.exe” file, and follow the on-screen
instructions to finish the installation procedure.
Step 2: Open your QuickTime player. Select “File” → “Open URL”, and key in the URL address. The URL format is “rtsp://ipaddress/live/mpeg4” (For example, “rtsp://59.124.231.75/live/mpeg4”). Click “OK” to continue
Step 3: A pop-up window will appear and prompt you to enter the authentication information. Key in the user
name and password for accessing your DVR. The user name and password are the same as the ones
you use to log into the AP.
If the information is correct, press “OK” to go on. If not, press “Cancel” to quit the accessing.
Step 4: When the login is successful, you will see a similar screen as the following.
APPLE QUICK TIME FILE FORMAT SPECIFICATION
I looked at the PC Board of this new model DVR, and it had 761AM-V02A marked on it.
This is an MPEG 4 DVR only and no MJPEG is offered.
What is different about this DVR is that it transmits over the internet using MPEG 4 unlike all of the other past models that transmit over the internet using MJPEG.
I do not know if the the same 761AM board is shared between the 671, and the 760AS, and if the 760 has parts missing that take away the specs of the 761.
The back of the AVC 760 / Nubix 4ST does not match the Reg 4 channel DVR rear panel as seen in the old Model numbers 1, 2, 3, or 4.
The AS model 1 looks the same as the old model 3, but does not have the D/V port.
It does have a fan unlike the old Model 3.
The main menu has an extra line:
Quick Search (Date and Search HDD)
Record
Timer
Date
Advance

The default admin password is 0000. Enter the default password, and press “ENTER”. Users can change the password
later.
Move the cursor to “RECORD”, and press ” ENTER”. The screen will show the following options:
The submenu items are described below:
1) IMAGE SIZE

There is a Model 2 that has the IR port, a VGA port (built in), and a USB port.
This is probably the AVC 761A
Setting up the Remote Viewer will seam extremely difficult if you are used to the older AVC 760. If you have experience with "higher end" DVRs then you will be able to figure things out for yourself. If this is the first time you have ever set up a remote software then pack a lunch, sit down, and read the manual a couple of times, and you should be ok!
I do not work on high end DVRs, but have played with one here, and there. I have enough background to kind of figure what needs to be done, but I felt extremely lost when I was trying to just get live video.
Where you get your server software will depend on how you will put it on to your computer. If you have received your software as a zip "package" then use this:
http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm
This is a trial version of the software. This is free, but it does not have all of the bells, and whistles available to you, but feel free to pay for the software to have the complete package.
You will load this on to your computer, and then you will "activate" it so that you can unzip your software. When the WinZip software screen comes up just click on the evaulation option
If you have received it as rar "package" then use this:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Select your country for language, and download the software. This is free but it does not have al of the bells,a dn whistles available to you.
If you are computer savy then click on
Start This is at the bottom left of your XP computer, or click on the Vista Icon on the bottom left. Click My Computer. Click on local Disk (C:). Click on Program Files.
Here is where your software is going to be stored.
